The cave in Thailand where the children are trapped is becoming a kind of competition between brothers-in-law from all over the world. Now Elon Musk says on Twitter that he would get them out of there by putting in a nylon tunnel.

Now he has gone further, detailing on Twitter a plan he has devised to rescue everyone trapped. To do so, he would draw on the expertise of engineers from two of his companies, SpaceX and The Boring Company. The latter is the tunnel construction company that was recently chosen to build a new underground link in Chicago.
The idea may be ingenious enough to work: it would involve inserting a nylon tube through the network of caverns to the location of the victims and inflating it with air. The tube would be one meter in diameter, but it would be able to adapt to the shape of the rock, including the aforementioned 70 cm hole.
This way, instead of giving each child diving equipment and guiding them through the complicated route, an "air tunnel" could be created through which they could advance to the exit.
Written down, the idea sounds great, but it must be borne in mind that Elon Musk does not have all the facts and is only speculating. He himself acknowledges that there may be more complex details that he would not appreciate without being there. That is why he has announced that he has sent engineers from SpaceX and The Boring Company to Thailand to help the government. They should arrive tomorrow.
